Did Alex Rodriguez get upset after watching Jennifer Lopez's sexy shower scene with Milo Ventimiglia in her new movie Second Act? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.
Lopez and Ventimiglia's characters take a shower together during a sultry scene in their new romantic comedy, and according to In Touch, the actress's boyfriend wasn't happy with the on-screen love affair. "Alex kind of lost it," an alleged insider tells the magazine about the former MLB star's supposed reaction to the scene. "It really made him squirm." The supposed source adds, "What made it worse is that he knew J. Lo specifically wanted Milo, and only Milo for the role."
The magazine's premise is completely fabricated. During an appearance on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show last week, Lopez spoke about Rodriguez's reaction to her shower scene. When asked what her boyfriend said about that particular sequence in the film, the actress noted, "He didn't say anything. He loved the movie though. He didn't go there." She added, "I did say to him, just so you know, there's kissing scenes with me and Milo. And he was like, 'Yeah, it's OK baby.'"
In addition to Lopez herself confirming that her boyfriend has no issue with her on-screen romances, Gossip Cop checked in with Rodriguez's rep, who tells us on the record that the magazine's story is made up. Despite what the outlet's anonymous and untraceable "insider" claims, a spokesperson for the former Yankee assures us he didn't get upset while watching Lopez's new movie.
In September, Gossip Cop bused In Touch's sister outlet, the Globe, for making up a similar story about Rodriguez being jealous of Ventimiglia. That article even said Lopez and her boyfriend were headed for a split over her Second Act co-star. The premise wasn't true two months ago and it's no more accurate now that the movie is about to hit theaters. The tabloids enjoy throwing celebrities into phony love triangles with their co-stars and their significant others. This latest article is another example.
Meanwhile, In Touch has already proven to have zero insight into the famous couple's relationship. Gossip Cop called out the tabloid in August for falsely claiming that Lopez and Rodriguez were getting married and having a baby. More than four months later, neither of those scenarios have come to fruition. This latest report is more fiction from the unreliable outlet.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
