On Thursday’s “Weekend Update” finale, Alec Baldwin impersonated Donald Trump. Watch the video below.

The live show opened with a recreation of Trump’s controversial Phoenix rally. Baldwin, who has been playing the former business mogul on “SNL” for nearly a year now, came out dressed as Trump with dark sunglasses. “How about that eclipse, folks?” the “president” cracked, quipping that he was the only one to learn that looking directly at the solar phenomenon could cause eye damage.

He then took off the sunglasses to get a look at the crowd, and asked a supporter sitting behind him (Kenan Thompson) if he was “really black.” The attendee yelled back, “That’s what the ad said you’re looking for.” Trump then said it wasn’t too early to hold campaign events for 2020, as “Mike Pence is already doing it.” He then brought up Charlottesville, and said a “tragic victim” emerged: “Me.”

Baldwin’s Trump then said the media has been “unfairly” attacking him “by reporting my entire remarks, even the bad ones.” He then re-read his Charlottesville quotes, purposefully leaving out the “both sides” and “many sides” parts. He also touted his accomplishments, saying he “solved Afghanistan… I asked the hard questions, like which one is Afghanistan? Is that blue thing an ocean?”

He then called Steve Bannon up to the stage to give the chief strategist a “proper goodbye.” In an ongoing “Saturday Night Live” joke, the Grim Reaper appeared, with Trump telling him he can now go after “globalist cucks like my son-in-law Jared.” Bannon/Reaper threatened in response, “I’m going to crush you.”

As Gossip Cop has reported, the summer edition of “Weekend Update” debuted earlier this month as a spinoff of “Saturday Night Live.” The program took the signature “SNL” segment and expanded it to 30 minutes as a way to continue the sketch comedy show’s running commentary on current events before the new season kicks off. On the premiere, “Weekend Update” mocked Trump and his sons. And in the second episode, Trump was slammed with help from Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and Tina Fey.
