Alec Baldwin Trump Impression Tonight Show

Alec Baldwin claimed on Friday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that his Donald Trump impression isn’t “very good.” Watch the video below.

Baldwin appeared on the late-night show to promote an upcoming Spike special, for which he was roasted by famous friends. But Fallon couldn’t help but compliment the actor on his impersonation of the president. “Donald Trump, your impression on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ this whole season, was unbelievable,” the host told him.

But in Baldwin’s mind, his imitation has only been successful because he only does it in relatively short bits. “The good news is you do it [in] like that quick burst,” he explained. “It’s the cold opening. It’s five minutes. You’re not doing a 90-minute movie with Steven Soderbergh where we’re playing Trump. That wouldn’t work.”

Baldwin continued, “It’s nice that we had good writing and you get in and you get out. And you get out quick enough that people don’t realize you really don’t do a very good Trump impersonation. So I was very appreciative of that. We’re in, we’re out.” Fallon wasn’t buying the self-deprecation, telling his pal, “No, you were fantastic.”

The TV personality went on to marvel at a video of Baldwin’s 3-year-old daughter trying to mimic his Trump impression. With three kids under the age of 3, the star quipped, “You know what this means, don’t you? I have to work until I’m 85 years old. I’m gonna be a greeter in Vegas.”

Baldwin, who was wearing sunglasses due to an eye infection, also discussed being surprised by Bill Clinton at his roast (which included the former president making a Trump joke), and hilariously mocked Fallon’s new mustache throughout his appearance. Check out the videos below!
