Addison Agen beautifully sang Ray LaMontagne’s “Jolene” for her Blind Audition on “The Voice,” as seen on Monday’s show. Check out the video below!

At 16, the Indiana resident was stunned to be in Los Angeles to try out for the NBC competition. But music is in her genes. Her dad owns a record store while her mom is a music therapist. Calling herself “alternative folk,” Agen insisted, “All of the coaches would be great for me.” For her performance, she infused a surprising amount of emotion into the lyrics as she sang, “Still don’t know what love means.”

And when Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine gave a standing ovation, the teen burst into tears. Jennifer Hudson commented, “It was just a pleasure just listening to you sing. Your voice is so beautiful. It was amazing.” Angering Levine, Blake Shelton said he knew the “right thing to do here is to step back and let Miley have you on your team.” Cracked the Maroon 5 front man, “They hate it when I succeed.”

Levine then told Agen, “You’re one of my favorite singers. When I did turn around is when I really started to fall in love… You are just so full of life and power and emotion. You’re the most talented person your age since maybe [winner] Danielle Bradbery.” Cyrus, though, pointed out that they could bond over their ages and similar voices. Levine wasn’t giving up, however, insisting, “I’m your biggest fan!”

But Agen chose Cyrus to be her coach. “I have to go with Miley,” she said, telling Levine, “I’m so sorry!” Check out the video below!
