Is Adam Sandler really a line cutter? One of this week’s new tabloids concocted a bizarre story alleging the comedic actor skipped ahead of other customers at a pharmacy to buy a pack of dental floss. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively clear up the situation.

“Adam Flustered Over Floss Fiasco” reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. According to the unreliable magazine, Sandler’s alleged misconduct recently went down at a pharmacy in West Hollywood. A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “No one was laughing as Adam bypassed the line like he owned the place. People were grumbling, ‘WTF, man, we’re waiting to be rung up too’ and ‘Wait your turn like everyone else!'” The tale only gets stranger from there.

The magazine’s questionable insider contends that non only did Sandler refuse to apologize for cutting the line, but the funnyman then changed his mind about purchasing the item. “He opened the package of floss as if inspecting it, then slammed it on the counter muttering, ‘I don’t want this’ and left,” says the seemingly nonexistent insider, who adds, “It was incredibly weird.” What’s also weird is this made-up story.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us this alleged incident “never happened.” Naturally, the tabloid fails to mention exactly when or where this supposed event occurred, and that’s because it simply didn’t. Instead, it seems Star decided to forgo actual journalism and try its hand at some creative writing.

In fact, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out the publication for printing an inaccurate story about the comedy star. We previously busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Sandler and his wife Jackie were renewing their vows. The untrustworthy magazine’s latest article about the actor is similarly untrue.
