Capitol Fourth Live Stream 2017

John Stamos is hosting “A Capitol Fourth” on Tuesday. Check out the live stream below!

“A Capitol Fourth” is the annual Independence Day celebration of America’s birthday. The star-studded event takes place on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, with performers staging a concert before the big fireworks display. To capture the lights in all their glory, PBS has 20 cameras positioned throughout Washington, D.C. that will film the fireworks at different angles.

The festivities, which are free and open to the public, were first held in 1979. Over the decades since, some of the biggest names in music have participated in the concert each year. Stamos will join The Beach Boys to provide entertainment this time around, along with Kellie Pickler, Yolanda Adams, Dan Ackroyd and Jim Belushi as The Blues Brothers, and Laura Osnes. That’s in addition to Sofia Carson, Trace Adkins and Chris Blue, who won “The Voice” in May, as Gossip Cop reported at the time.

They’ll be joined by The Four Tops, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Choral Arts Society of Washington, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and the U.S. Army Ceremonial Band. Per tradition, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” will be performed and a cannon will be fired. As host, Stamos follows in the footsteps of Tom Bergeron, who emceed last year, as well in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The live stream is slated to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern. Watch the feed below!
