Zayn Malik After Perrie Edwards Split: “You Just Can’t Do Enough For Some People”
As Gossip Cop confirmed on Tuesday, Malik recently called off his engagement to Perrie Edwards, nearly two years after he popped the question. The former One Direction singer hasn’t specifically addressed the breakup, but raised eyebrows on Wednesday with a suggestive tweet. “You just can’t do enough for some people, I guess,” wrote Malik.
Of course, there’s no way to know if Malik was alluding to his failed relationship. Regardless, he went on to change topics, and began talking about his solo career. As Gossip Cop reported, the British star signed a deal with RCA Records just last week.
“Musictime,” declared Malik, before telling fans, “Love you all… Always make me feel good :)” He then vowed, “Gonna get this done for you!! I promise this album will be amazing.” And he also teased that there’s “something exciting coming soon.”
For her part, Edwards said she was doing “good” during a Little Mix interview with E! News hours after the split news broke. And on a non-verified Twitter account reportedly belonging to the songstress, a message read, “Just Want To Thank All My Family, Friends And Fans For Helping Me Get Through This Hard Time! Because Of You All Im Still Smiling <3.”
Edwards is currently in the U.S. for a promo tour, which a second message on her purported Twitter account seemed to reference, though the tweet was later deleted. It read, “I’m Trying To Stay Strong, But Its Natural To Feel HeartBroken So If I Come Across Quiet When Meeting Fans, Im Sorry! I Do Love You All Lots.” TELL US: What do you think of Malik going solo both romantically and professionally?
