One Direction Wants Zayn Malik To Go To Therapy, Has “Top-Secret Contingency Plan” In Case He Quits Band?
The future of One Direction as a fivesome is not in jeopardy, despite a report claiming there is “tension” in the band surrounding Zayn Malik. The false story comes from the Daily Star, which alleges there are fears Malik may “decide to quit after a tough year of ‘personal struggles’ and ‘misery in the limelight.'”
According to the British paper, “Zayn has been encouraged to seek professional therapy for his problems, while ‘he assesses his future during their New Year break.'” Should Malik leave the group, supposed Daily Star sources claim Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have “vowed to carry on as a four-piece.” “The 1D lads have prepared extensively for concerts and studio recording work should one of them walk out. Management took the unusual step last year to guarantee the band’s ever present place at the top of the charts in case one of the boys go AWOL or is unable to perform,” claims the UK tabloid.
The Daily Star adds that “concerned 1D bosses are ready to put plans into place.” “One Direction are totally able to continue unfazed as a four piece,” one so-called “source” tells the publication. “They are putting a brave face on Zayn going missing last week, but in reality behind the scenes everyone knows there is tension.” This, of course, is coming from the outlet that had to formally apologize to Harry Styles less than a month ago for running a fake “sex pic.” And, the Daily Star, of course, has claimed on multiple occasions that both Styles and Malik were prepping for a solo career, most recently writing a fabricated story about Malik’s supposed plans to bail in late October. Of course that isn’t mentioned in this new article.
A rep for One Direction points out the Daily Star’s history of spreading wrong information about the group, and tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “As usual, there’s no truth to this story.” Directioners are best getting their 1D news elsewhere, namely through accurate sites such as Gossip Cop.
