Zayn Malik RCA Records: Signs Solo Record Deal To Show Fans “Who I Really Am” — SEE PHOTO HERE!
Zayn Malik signed a solo deal with RCA Records on Wednesday. The former One Direction member announced the news in a series of tweets, including one featuring a photo from the signing. See picture right and below.
Malik wrote, “I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA!!” He added in another message, “#REALME.” Malik also retweeted fan messages of support, including, “I. AM. HAPPY. FOR. YOU,” “ZAYN IS F*CKING SOLO I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE ALIVE,” and “Zayn got signed to the same record label as Chris Brown, G-Eazy, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Prince Royse and Alisha Keys JUST IMAGINE.”
The news comes one day after Gossip Cop confirmed Malik had new management. He signed with Turn First Artists in the wake of getting ditched by Simon Cowell and his SYCO label. Gossip Cop was told Malik would likely pursue a solo career with another Sony subsidiary, and that’s exactly what he’s doing by signing with RCA.
Though Cowell is responsible for Malik’s career so far, the music mogul decided to cut professional ties out of loyalty to the remaining members of One Direction, who are continuing on as a four-piece. Malik initially seemed to be aligning himself with producer Naughty Boy, and two demos were even released online, but they had a falling out earlier this month.
Last week, Gossip Cop exclusively corrected a false rumor that Malik was returning to One Direction. Hopefully this new deal with RCA can finally end the speculation once and for all. Gossip Cop wishes Malik the best of luck in his new endeavor.
