Zayn Malik of One Direction Leaves Twitter

Zayn Malik of One Direction abruptly left Twitter on Tuesday.

The singer cited the negativity and abuse directed his way by haters on the social media platform.

He explained, “The reason i don’t tweet as much as i use to, is because I’m sick of all the useless opinions and hate that I get daily goodbye twitter :).”

Malik advised his true fans who “have something nice to say” to reach him at the band’s official Twitter account — @OneDirection.

Given One Direction’s enormous popularity, Twitter topics including #ComeBackZayn immediately began to trend.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for further comment.

    Yeah. This came as a shock to 1D fans due to the fact that Zayn already has a girlfriend, Perrie Edwards. But yeah, his team will most likely deny it even with evidence and you know, GossipCop will follow.

    This is NOT an update and not news. Is Perez Hilton getting his cronies to support him here?

    That is an old video and has been around for ages. Perez did NOT break news and this video was leaked way before he and Perrie officially became a couple. It has been on tumblr since March and was just recently uploaded on youtube and Perez is now writing gossip about it.

    It is no secret that Zayn hooked up during the Up All Night Tour. He and Perrie were not exclusive then. He and Perrie didn’t start being monogamous until this summer. That video was first leaked back in March so that is NOT proof of anything.

    Zayn has to deal with constant rumors as well as racist attacks repeatedly. It went out of control.

    There is no excuse. You don’t know the timeline or circumstances of his relationship with Perrie Edwards. You don’t know when they became serious.

    None of that is solid proof of anything. He and Perrie did not become exclusive until after his UAN tour was over. Wow, his haters continue to bombard him with accusations and hatred. He has to deal with more hate than the rest of the band due to racism and double-standards. Harry actually wrecked a marriage and had inappropriate hookups but he is the favorite of fandom yet Zayn gets crucified when people don’t even operate on the truth.

    Perez is pretending to break news of scandal and is slandering Zayn Malik using false accusations. Alot of that twitter evidence is fabricated. That video is old and way before he and Perrie became monogamous with each other. Other people in that band have engaged in scandalous behavior but that gets covered up but Zayn gets crucified and more harshly judged because he is Muslim.

    Interesting, it is guys here who are getting enjoyment out of attacking Zayn and are backing up Perez Hilton. The hatred against Zayn was unfounded and getting out of control. He was getting a storm of racist comments, hate messages, his family was also being bullied, and tons of death threats.

    That video was not a “shock”. Any hardcore Zayn Malik and 1D fan saw that video months ago. He and Perrie were just casually dating back then and did not become serious until the summer. People are just lying about the timeframe and are going by Perez’s trash talking. Now Zayn is dealing with a storm of controversy over nothing.

    Some of that so-called evidence came before he and Perrie officially became a couple. Also, Zayn has to deal with tons of fabricated evidence on twitter and other sites for girls who want Perrie to leave him. He has the most jealous and vindictive fangirls who keep trying to make “Zerrie” look fake.

    People don’t know the actual timeframe regarding his relationship with Perrie and they tried to keep it low-profile. Now he is being ambushed and dealing with tons of hate with people misjudging and overreacting when none of his bandmates deal with it to that extent.
