Zayn Malik NOT At Louis Tomlinson “X Factor” Performance, Despite Rumors
As Gossip Cop reported, Tomlinson performed his debut solo single, “Just Hold On,” during the “X Factor” finale. The performance came just days after the death of his mother, Johanna Deakin. His appearance was scheduled prior to her passing, and it was said to be her dying wish that he fulfill the obligation.
Tomlinson gave a tribute performance in his mom’s honor, with longtime mentor Simon Cowell offering kinds words as the singer appeared to hold back tears on stage. Both before, during, and after, though, it was claimed that all the past and present members of One Direction were also in attendance.
Malik infamously quit the group last year, and spent the last two years on rocky terms with the remaining members. But many on Twitter claimed there was “sightings” of him at the taping. That in turn led to various outlets to assert the solo artist had a reunion with his former band mates.
Gossip Cop, however, looked into the claims, and we’re exclusively told by Malik’s camp that he was NOT at the “X Factor” in London, but rather in New York. That said, our insider assures us that he has been in contact with Tomlinson “a lot” since his loss and is “supporting him.” As Gossip Cop also previously reported, Malik was among the celebrities to offer condolences on Twitter.
