Zayn Malik NOT Banned From Perrie Edwards’ Little Mix Tour, Despite Report
Simon Cowell has NOT banned Zayn Malik from following his fiancee Perrie Edwards on tour, despite a completely ridiculous report spread by The Mirror, claiming the former One Direction singer will not be allowed to see Edwards’ group Little Mix perform around the world. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story.
According to the outlet, while Cowell is OK with the music stars dating, he does not want Malik to distract the Little Mix women or cause tension within the group. The Mirror says his company Syco has stepped in to make sure Malik stays away.
A so-called “source” tells the newspaper, “The law has been laid down to Zayn – you cannot follow Perrie around like a puppy dog.” The Mirror insider goes on to explain, “For Little Mix the next year is vital in terms of their progression… They have achieved a strong base following, but they need to convert that into becoming better known.”
“Having distractions is not what they need. Perrie already faces dozens of media questions about Zayn, when the focus should be on their music,” says the outlet’s source. “This is not a case of asking Zayn [to stay away], it is telling him.”
We understand the temptation to sensationalize anything and everything having to do with Zayn Malik in the wake of his headline-making departure from One Direction, but there is NO truth to this story. The Mirror is fishing for controversy. Malik has NOT been told to stay away from Edwards or Little Mix. A spokesperson for Syco tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “This story is totally made up. No one at has had any such conversation. It’s totally untrue.”
