Zachary Quinto Comes Out As “A Gay Man”

Zachary Quinto, best known for starring on the NBC show “Heroes” and playing Spock in the Star Trek remake, has come out of the closet in the upcoming issue of New York magazine.

Twice during his interview with the weekly, he refers to himself as “a gay man.”

Quinto played a gay character on the VH1 sitcom “So NoTORIous,” and will also play a gay man in Ryan Murphy‘s FX series “American Horror Story.”

In the past, Quinto didn’t want to discuss his sexual orientation.

Just a year ago, when asked in a New York Times article about Internet rumors about his sexuality, Quinto told the paper, “The fact that these things are such hot-button issues right now, socially and politically, I would much rather talk about that than talk about who I sleep with.”
