In an In Touch piece about Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens titled, “Why Zac Broke Vanessa’s Heart,” the tab claims Efron “ended the romance after Vanessa pressured him to get engaged.”

Really?

The magazine quotes a so-called “friend” of the High School Musical stars as saying, “Vanessa was expecting an engagement ring for her birthday, Christmas or New Years (sic)… When he realized he wasn’t ready to get engaged, he decided to end things.”

Really?

What’s more, the magazine reports Hudgens is “incredibly devastated.”

Really?

Contrary to In Touch‘s scenario, the real reason the young couple split is that they both felt the relationship had “run its course,” and reliable sources assure Gossip Cop the two are “still friends.”

    Well the High School Musical movies are done, finished and completed. I said from the get-go that although they make an awesome couple, they were only dating for the publicity to promote the movies. Just like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison. Just wait, they will call off their love-life at the end of Breaking Dawn.

    the high school musical franchise was done 2 years ago, almost 3 now. If it was for PR They would’ve broken up RIGHT After the promotions and dvd release for the film was done with. Instead they stayed together another year and 1/2 if not almost 2 years. This wasnt a PR relationship for the movies. PLEASE.
