Zac Efron Hugs Fan For 30 Seconds On “Jimmy Kimmel” To Celebrate National Hugging Day — WATCH VIDEO!
Zac Efron hugged one lucky fan for 30 seconds on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to celebrate National Hugging Day. Watch below!
Efron was on the show to promote his new movie Dirty Grandpa, but his appearance also happened to coincide with the little-known holiday. Kimmel deemed his guest “one of the top huggers in the United States of America,” and the crowd went wild at the prospect of an embrace with the hunky actor. In fact, one older gentleman in the back of the audience was up out of his seat cheering and waving his arms.
An Australian girl named Rebecca was ultimately the one chosen, and she joked that there’s no “current” restraining orders requiring her to keep her distance from the movie star. Kimmel teased, “You seem to be trembling.” If she wasn’t then, the chills probably kicked in when Efron wrapped his arms around her.
And 30 seconds is pretty long when there’s a spotlight on you and nothing else to do but stand there hugging. Thanks to a boom box and a disco-like ball, it started to look like Efron and Rebecca were at a prom, and he didn’t even let go when the lights came up. “That was a good hug,” he exclaimed with the gal still in his arms.
