Zac Efron Bizarre Drinking And Partying Story NOT True
Zac Efron was NOT acting bizarre and chugging drinks at the after-party for the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “ridiculous.”
The actor has been open in the past about having gone to rehab for substance abuse in 2013, but according to In Touch, his conduct at the after-party was cause for concern. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that Efron was supposedly “sweating and on edge” all night, and also “started looking like a mess and he drank two cocktails quickly.”
The magazine’s supposed insider then goes on to allege that Efron “had the whole restroom area shut down by security,” so that he and his friends “could be in there alone.” “It was very strange,” adds the dubious source, who’s clearly trying to insinuate that Efron and his pals were doing drugs.
However, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actor, who exclusively assures us that the outlet’s entire account of events never occurred and the report is simply “ridiculous.” Unfortunately, we’re not shocked by the tall tale. Gossip Cop previously busted In Touch’s sister publication, Life & Style, for wrongly reporting that Efron was dating his Lucky One co-star Taylor Schilling. This latest report about the actor is similarly untrue.
