Young Thug was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday for allegedly threatening to shoot a mall cop.

The rapper (real name: Jeffrey Williams) was at a Georgia mall last week, when the security on site asked that he leave. While it’s not clear what kind of disturbance there was caused the security to take such action, Young Thug reportedly became enraged as he was being escorted out of the building. And, according to TMZ, he threatened to shoot one of the guards in the face.

The threat prompted security to call the local police department, but Thug has left by the time officers arrived. Still, cops issued a warrant for the music star’s arrest, and the Marshals Service was called to help track his whereabouts. Thug was ultimately taken into custody at his Atlanta-area home on Wednesday morning, and is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Young Thug has spent much of this year feuding with Lil Wayne. The beef seriously escalated in April, when Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot at after he left an Atlanta club. In May, Young Thug’s road manager, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, was arrested for the crime. That case is still pending, and Young Thug’s involvement hasn’t been established.
