X Factor Cuts Four, Reveals The Top 12

Just one day after its first live show of the season, “X Factor” turned its Top 16 into a Top 12.

On Wednesday, each of the judges were forced to cut one singer from their team after having two of their acts go head-to head.

Demi Lovato selected CeCe Frey and Willie Jones to do battle, and chose to keep a tearful Frey.

She told Jones, “I don’t think it’s your time right now… but I believe in you.”

L.A. Reid chose Jason Brock to face off against David Correy, and sent Correy home.

“I promise you this is not going to be the last time you see my face,” Correy vowed afterward.

Britney Spears put Diamond White and Arin Ray up against each other, and eliminated a stunned White.

Spears was clearly torn over the decision, particularly after Simon Cowell said that neither contestant deserved to leave.

Cowell forced 1432 (formely Lylas) and Sister C to duke it out for survival, and reluctantly sent Sister C home.

1432 were saved after performing a moving rendition of Lovato’s “Skycraper,” which she said was better than her own version.

The survivors and remaining contestants now comprise the Top 12 — see FULL LIST below — and will try to earn America’s vote beginning next week.

    Worse X-factor show ever… Worse judging ever… Worse judges ever. Britney, Demi and L.A. bomb big time. They should quit and return to their previous gig. They are the worse. Bring back Paula and Nicole. They kept the show interesting last year. Britney and Demi have judging IQs of 50. Worse X-Factor show ever

    Kloe did very good, I like when she push the judges to clarify a statement. I agree with Britney and LA being useless but I like Demi, even though I hate what she did with CeCe.

    Need to lose the constant screaming from the teeny boppers in the audience so poeple watching on tv can hear. Totally aggravating. Judges getting snippy with each other. Khloe awkward to say the least & the froze fake smile reminds me of Rosie O’Donnell. X Factor is trying to hard & it just isn’t coming together for me. Also, the sound on the broadcast is not good at all. Don’t know if it is the place they are recording in or what but most of them you have a hard time hearing or just don’t sound that good. For a singing show that really is getting irritating to say the least.

    I finally watched the show. Brittney is terrible she has no ear for talent. I don’t understand why she is judging to begin with, because most of the contestants have way more talent then she does.

    Khloe is still a little nervous but she needs a little more time to find her footing and she will be fine. Pumping my fist for you Khloe. Mario did really good last night.

    Totally agree with Kally about the screaming teenyboppers in the audience, very aggravating.

    Love Demi on the show, but she sent home the wrong person. Paige Thomas and CeeCee have the same sound.
    L.A.. Jason? Really??? There is no consumer demand for him. He’s a Las Vegas lounge singer at best.
    Britney… I think she had the toughest decision to make. Any one of them could have competed, all talented and Diamond was adorable.
    Now Simon… 4321 or whatever they are called. All talented singers but are a work in progress, The sisters were turnkey and ready to go. Can’t stand Emblem3, just a bunch of arrogant kids thinking they already have this in the bag.
    Khloe, the only Kardashian that’s tolerable, sorry, you’re horrible.

    That being said… I’m done with X-Factor and the mess that is now American Idol. Looks like it’s The Voice left standing.
