Lip Synching on “The X Factor” (VIDEO)
2:32 pm, November 4th, 2011
VIDEO“The X Factor” seems to have a bit of a lip-synching issue.
Two different instances during the Thursday broadcast appeared to show contestants “singing” on tape.
First, during the opening performance, LeRoy Bell‘s voice was heard before he began singing directly into the microphone.
Later, some members of the Stereo Hogzz group were also heard “singing” despite their mouths not being miked.

“The X Factor” is saying the snafus aren’t so scandalous.
“All survival songs are performed live, with just a backing track. For the group ensemble performance, the vocals are pre-recorded to allow acts to concentrate on preparing their own live competitive performances on Wednesdays – this is also no different to what other competition shows do for ensemble performances,” a show rep said in a statement.
But what do you think?
Is it disappointing that the “live” performances aren’t (completely) live?
