Busting bad dish!

Lip Synching on “The X Factor” (VIDEO)

VIDEO

(FOX)

“The X Factor” seems to have a bit of a lip-synching issue.

Two different instances during the Thursday broadcast appeared to show contestants “singing” on tape.

First, during the opening performance, LeRoy Bell‘s voice was heard before he began singing directly into the microphone.

Later, some members of the Stereo Hogzz group were also heard “singing” despite their mouths not being miked.

“The X Factor” is saying the snafus aren’t so scandalous.

“All survival songs are performed live, with just a backing track. For the group ensemble performance, the vocals are pre-recorded to allow acts to concentrate on preparing their own live competitive performances on Wednesdays – this is also no different to what other competition shows do for ensemble performances,” a show rep said in a statement.

But what do you think?

Is it disappointing that the “live” performances aren’t (completely) live?

Disappointing but no big deal. Where I wonder if there were lip syncing was during the tryouts at the judges “homes”. Some of the performance sounded so polished I had wondered if the judge was hearing the same performance viewers were.

Absolutely agree with Chuck. They were obviously all lip syncing at the judge’s “homes.” So crazy when they are suppose to be judged at that point for singing and they had obviously been in a recording studio prior to those performances. Just don’t get it …. guess they are getting ready for the big time where Beyonce and those of her ilk do it all the time.

the worst was Stereo Hogs lip synced the end survival song!!! watch it again. there were a couple of times the guys forgot to lift their mics!!! this is not a singing show. it’s a spectacle. it’s extremely hard to do dancing and singing at the same time but stereo hogs seemed to have no problem.
if you’re supposed to be singing for your life, you should actually sing! not play a prerecorded track.

If anyone was paying attention during all the tryouts..during Boot Camp….and at Paula’s … Only One Hog ever sings… and the few blurbs his backup uttered were out of tune and not good….. so I wonder if they were even their voices on the Track they were supposed to be Syncing to…….

Milli Vanilli would love this show

This isn’t new business w/ these shows, particularly w/ X Factor. On the UK version, they are constantly in trouble w/ fans and music critics for auto-syncing everything. I’m sure they are doing the same on the U.S. version now, as well. All Cowell cares about is “good TV” and the proper outcome. All these “reality” shows are fake. They already have the winner picked.

By the way, could someone please tell the judges all this sugary-sweet nonsense we’re seeing is BORING!
