Cheesier than what I was expecting. The zombies look so silly and Brad Pitt is really showing off his (bad) acting skills.

What’s with the zombie themes now? I hate zombie movies. I can’t watch them. Freak me out.

I like some zombie monies but quite frankly the mass crowd scene is the only thing that is ‘different’ about this one. So great crowd scene but after a half a minute of it, who cares. Brad sounds like he’s still doing a commercial.

Ugh, not what I expected. More actiony and different from the book. I thought this was 2 part movie? Hmm. I don’t like how they changed from collage of stories to focused on 1 family crap. Adapting a book to movie is tough but come on Hollywood. I knew soon as Marc Forster was picked to direct, I knew this movie would be cliche and not good. His last film I saw Bond movie Quantum of Solace sucked so bad, it almost ruined the momentum of Casino Royale. The guy can’t direct action movies. (Thank god Skyfall might be good) World War Z was a good book because it showed the ramification of how the world dealt with zombie epidemic. It had human touches and reasons what went on and what people did to survive. I hope I am wrong about this movie. I can’t judge the movie on trailer alone but it doesn’t seem good so far.

I have to disagree with the other commenters, I think the movie looks like great popcorn entertainment. The trailer makes it look different than other zombie movies as it hinted at an origin of the breakout and it’s showing the large scale military response which you actually don’t see too often (usually it’s a rag tag band of survivors which may or may not include soldiers). As far as Brad’s acting goes, he’s a great actor (if you don’t think so, see Thelma and Louise, 12 Monkeys, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, etc.), but this isn’t the kind of movie that shows off acting skills and it isn’t required. I’ll also say for a guy pushing 50, he looks 20 years younger and really sexy. He’s still got it.

Saw the trailer and it looked good. I didn’t read the book. It is probably best this way.
