Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s Friend’s “Abuse” Sensationalized By Blog
Dean McDermott’s friend Wolf Amer, who appears on “True Tori,” is the subject of a sensationalized and inaccurate RadarOnline attack.
The webloid claims his pal “might not be the best influence” on McDermott as he works to repair his marriage to Tori Spelling, because Amer “was previously arrested for spousal abuse, and even admitted to pushing his former wife.”
RadarOnline quotes from a 2007 police report filed by Jeanene Fox Amer after the then-couple had a fight turn physical. In the report, both parties discuss the altercation, and Wolf expresses regret for pushing his ex. But while RadarOnline tries to make it seem as though McDermott’s friend is a dangerous influence with a history of major abuse, the portrayal is exaggerated and wrong. Most importantly, the case was actually dismissed. “There was never any spousal abuse,” a source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop.
As for the suggestion that Amer’s friendship is somehow a bad thing for McDermott and Spelling’s marriage, or, as RadarOnline implies, that he could be a negative presence in the life of the couple’s oldest son Liam, it’s totally off base. Our insider tells us, Amer has “supported their family through a very difficult time,” and has served as a “wonderful mentor to Liam.”
Recently, RadarOnline casually called Spelling’s old co-star Shannen Doherty a “celebrity stalker” in a fabricated report. Its sensationalized exaggeration of “abuse” allegations in this new story is another black mark.
