Willow Smith Got Her Tongue Pierced?

Willow Smith has been trending on Twitter and the subject of several blog posts on Monday because of a photo of her on Instagram with what appears to be a pierced tongue.

Places like HollywoodLife have gotten all up in arms asking its readers, “Would you let your 11-year-old get a tongue piercing,” and noting that in California “Willow would need her parents’ permission to get a piercing.”

That’s all fine, but Smith did NOT get her tongue pierced.

A source close to the singer and her famous family tells Gossip Cop exclusively that “it isn’t a piercing — it is a magnet.”

“Just a young girl having fun with accessories,” adds our insider.

    I would think the magnet would almost be more dangerous then a tongue piercing. You swallow that magnet that could cause health issues. Obviously Will and Jada let their kids do anything.

    Wow, you sound like all the homophobes in my state! So it’s okay for people to allow their sons to grow their hair long, but not let their daughters shave it off? And how is she dressing like a guy? My hair was almost that short when I was young, and I dress far more masculine, but no one ever mistook me for a boy (or questioned my sexuality, as people are want to do these days). It’s called being a tomboy!

    I’m assuming you don’t have children. Not allowing your children to get a tongue piercing at 11, is hardly making your kids live in a box. When you grow up and have a little girl I bet you wouldn’t allow her to have her tongue pierced at 11 either.

    She too young to be doing these things. Coloring her hair, dressing the way she does.. yes, she looks like a boy. Have you seen her tweets lately, well she seems very unhappy. Wendy Willkiams read them on her show, was very sad.
