“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson addressed his father Phil Robertson’s recent controversy during a live interview on Fox News Channel’s “All-American New Year” special.

While Willie did not discuss the patriarch’s specific comments — in which Phil said being gay is a “sin” and that blacks were happy in the pre-civil rights South — he did express relief that his dad’s suspension from the show was short-lived.

“We’re just glad to be back to work, and A&E and us are fine,” said Willie.

He went on, “We’re looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It’s a new year so we’re ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.”

“We’re ready to move on, you know. I think we all learned a lot and we’re just ready to move on, and the family’s happy, and we’re ready to go,” Willie said.

Added wife Korie, “I’m just glad the family’s all together; the best thing about the show is we get to do it as a family. We’re all happy, happy, happy.”

Season 5 of “Duck Dynasty” premieres on January 15.
