As Demi Lovato put it, Willie Jones was rocking “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” look when he stepped on stage during Thursday’s “X Factor.”

Much to the judges’ shock, the 17-year-old went on to nail the country song, “Your Man,” perhaps best known for the line “Baby, lock them doors,” as sung repeatedly by Scotty McCreery on “American Idol.”

“You are an absolute original,” L.A. Reid told Jones after his performance.

A pleased Britney Spears said, “I was very surprised. I wasn’t expecting that.”

Lovato pointed out how “likable” Jones is, and told him, “You’re a rock star already.”

Simon Cowell seemed the most impressed, saying, “This is why I wanted to come to Greensboro [North Carolina].”

“I prayed we were going to find something like you,” he continued, adding, “I want to remember this day, the first time I heard Willie Jones. This is a day to remember.”
