Paper Wrong About William Shatner Earning $600 Million

There’s no doubt William Shatner gets paid a pretty penny for his commercials for Priceline.com.
But how many pennies?
According to the Toronto Sun, Shatner “is now worth a cool $600 million.”
Come again?
In a story that got picked up everywhere, the newspaper claims the “Star Trek” star was initially paid in stock from the company and though the value of the shares has changed over the years, they currently are worth nearly $300 each.
So how many shares does Shatner have? The paper doesn’t know.
But the paper says, “It’s presumed to be plenty.”
So the Toronto Sun has no idea how many shares Shatner has but he’s “presumed” to have made $600 million?
Good thing the “Priceline Negotiator” is here himself to set the record straight.
“Someone stupid said a stupid thing about me making $600M,” Shatner tweeted today. “It ain’t so.”
