MAG: Will Smith & Jada Pinkett “Faking It For The Kids”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s marriage has been the subject of much Star speculation, with the magazine recently (and falsely) claiming to have a “divorce bombshell” about the long-married couple.

Now the tabloid is caught in the uncomfortable position of having to explain why it is that Smith and Pinkett still seem to be together and happy.

That’s why Star claims the pair is “faking it for the kids.”

“It seems like the troubled couple is at least listening to Willow and Jaden’s cries for help,” writes the tabloid, reporting that Willow briefly joined her dad and brother in Costa Rica (where they’re shooting a movie), while Pinkett “tried to make it seem like they were a happy family again when she tweeted a love song dedicated to Will” on Valentine’s Day.

“But, unfortunately, the very next day, the family was ripped apart again,” alleges Star, as Willow returned to Los Angeles alone, “making it clear that although they can fake it for the cameras, this is a family divided and destined to be broken apart.”

Um… what?!

Let’s take a look at the tabloid’s logic.

According to Star, if you visit your dad and brother on location and then head home it means your family is about to break up.

Also, says the tabloid, if you dedicate a love song to your husband, it means your family is about to break up.

Needless to say, Star is full of it.

A rep for Pinkett tells Gossip Cop the article is “not true.”

    IDK Sometimes when you keep hearing things about these celebrities, they come true, aka KK and Kris Humphries, from the begin of their marriage, all I read all over then www was they aren’t happy, they are going to divorce and dontcha know…. they are divorcing soooo maybe these “rumors” are true ?

    My granny always say “there’s no smoke without fire”. We may not know the full details yet but something is definitely going down with these two. Hope they hang in there for the kids sake.

    I think the point of Star’s article was that Willow, who is still a child, traveled to Costa Rica from Los Angeles and back without her mother. I love Will and Jada as a couple but that is a little odd unless Jada is working on something nobody’s heard about yet why wouldn’t you visit your husband and son on location especially when she’s probably one of the producers of the film.

    Every marriage goes through problems – theirs is no different. I’m sure neither one of them wants this, and hopefully they find the strength to see the beauty and uniquiness their marriage holds. I hope they stay together. People leave marriages too soon, they don’t try. Marriage is work, and when you forget that, and forget to make your spouse feel important, things suffer – but it doesn’t have to be over.
