TAB: Will Smith’s Relationship with Duane Martin Threatening Marriage to Jada Pinkett

Star just doesn’t know when to let it go.

The tabloid has reported over and over and over again that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are splitting, and yet the couple remains happily together.

Still not learning when to quit, the mag takes a new, altogether ridiculous tactic this week, claiming that Smith’s close relationship with actor Duane Martin is the reason behind his supposedly impending divorce.

Huh?

Yes, Star says Smith and his longtime pal “have been inseparable in recent months,” and their closeness is driving a wedge between him and Pinkett.

A so-called “insider” for the tab claims, “Will spends significantly more time with Duane than he does with Jada and the kids. Jada is growing more upset about it.”

Pinkett supposedly “can’t stand Will’s relationship with Duane,” adds another purported insider, who claims, “She feels like Will flaunts it in her face, hanging out with him every day and taking him on exotic vacations while she’s sitting home alone.”

On one of these “exotic” trips, writes Star, Smith and Martin had dinner and listened to music at Flair restaurant in Trinidad and Tobago February 24.

“It seemed like the perfect night out,” notes a source.

The friends’ “bromance” is allegedly causing so much strife between Smith and Pinkett that “it’s only a matter of time until one of them makes the split official and files for divorce,” claims another supposed insider.

Uh-huh…

Here’s what’s actually going on.

Star is desperately trying to save face after being wrong about Smith and Pinkett splitting, so they continue printing tales of the pair’s supposed marital discord, each one more absurd than the last.

Last month they claimed Smith and Pinkett “split up the kids” (Smith and Jaden were filming a movie in Philadelphia); then the family was spotted together in Costa Rica, so Star concluded the duo was just “faking it for the kids;” and since the mag has officially run out of ideas, they’re now reporting that Smith is abandoning his family for his married pal.

Needless to say, the tab’s latest attempt is “completely ridiculous and not true,” a source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop.

Even Martin’s wife, Tisha Campbell, is speaking out against the rumor, tweeting, “Usually I ignore negativity but I’m tired of the media attacking The Smiths. They’re an amazing couple and I wish ppl wld stop perpetuatin LIES. LEAVE THEM ALONE!”

We’re curious to see how Star will attempt to keep this one going in the weeks to come.

    Wow so why aren’t we reading a report that Will Smith is driving a wedge between Duane & Tisha Martin? If Jada’s supposedly upset about their bromance, then I’m sure Tisha has to be upset as well.

    I do believe that Will and Duane are lovers and have been for a while just like other celebrites in Hollywood and elsewhere. Jada knew about his love for men and vice versa. Tisha Campbell-Martin is also bisexual. I think Jada may be jealous that he is spending too much time??? ON the other other hand, if they are both “bearding” for each other, then why is a problem?? And yes, spending too much time with your “male friends” is “suspect”. I look at that subject as a double standard. Women can do it but men can’t! I didn’t make these rules, SOCIETY did!!

    Normally, I don’t respond to such ignorant comments such as yours. However, I must admit that I am completely floored that you actually believe that which you have written. I think that you’re an idiot whose looking for some sort of comedic attention.

    One could also very easily assume so many horrid things even about you without even really knowing you. You should learn the practice of critical thinking and really think before you speak. Maybe next time you can put a filter on the vile that spews from your ugly mouth.

    Duane Martin has been married to Tisha Campbell for 15 years. It’s amazing how reading the article in Star magazine; no where in the article does it say that Duane Martin is married to actress Tisha Campbell of the show “Martin” and “My Wife and Kids.” I kept reading the article to see where it mentions that he is married and no where in the article does it say that he is. However, there is a picture of Duane, Tisha and the kids on the last page of the article. It’s like the article was written to distort the truth. Tisha Campbell is a well known actress; she just had a second baby with Duane. So why didn’t the article talk about Duane being married with children? The article reads as though Duane is some single guy who has no family. I know times are tough….but to smear people just to sell magazines is real pathetic.

    I read the article in Star magazine; it’s like the people who wrote the article have no knowledge of the fact that 99% of black people know who Duane Martin is because he is married to Tisha Campbell. The article mentions Duane Martin as though he is just some single actor out there looking to get hooked up with Will. It’s obvious that the article was written out of desperation to sell magazines. Tisha Campbell is a well known actress. She just had a second baby with Duane. Their are numerous pictures and articles written about Duane, Tisha and their family and from all accounts they appear to be a very happy and loving family. Will Smith…is Will Smith. He can’t just hang out with anyone. Duane and Will are apparently good friends….so what’s wrong with that? So two good friends can’t hang out together unless they are having sex with each other? Star magazine is a sad desperate joke.

    Let me try and break down your insanity…
    Do you have any proof that Will and Duana are lovers? Or at the very least that Jada knew Will was bi? (Answer most likely is no)
    Do you have any proof that Tisha Campbell is bi? (Answer no)
