Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith Deny “Dumb” Divorce Rumors
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have denied the widespread reports that they are divorcing after 17 years of marriage, a claim that Gossip Cop was first to exclusively correct. Will took to his Facebook page on Monday to shoot down the “foolishness” from “dumb people.” He did not mention by name RadarOnline, which manufactured the story about them planning to announce a “split at the end of the summer.”
“Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness (Because it’s contagious),” Will wrote on Facebook. “But, so many people have extended me their ‘deepest condolences’ that I figured – ‘What the hell… I can be foolish, too!’ So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are… NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -) I promise you all – if I ever decide to divorce my Queen – I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself!”
Will ended his statement with the hashtag “#Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D’s.” Jada then tweeted, “My king has spoken,” following up on her husband’s comments.
As noted above, earlier on Monday, Gossip Cop exclusively busted a widely spread report that wrongly claimed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were going to announce a divorce. An impeccable Smith family source told Gossip Cop the rumor was 100 percent “not true.”
