Will Smith Death Hoax Returns
9:20 pm, December 27th, 2011
Will Smith is the victim (again) of a formulaic death hoax that’s spreading on Twitter.
According to the gross prank from Global Associated News, “Actor Will Smith died while filming a movie in New Zealand early this morning – December 27, 2011. Preliminary reports from New Zealand Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set. Specific details are not yet available.”
It’s 100% fake.
Smith is NOT dead.
He’s alive and well.
The exact same rumor about a fatal fall in New Zealand was circulated last month.
Bogus death reports also claimed Smith last May, and even victimized his son, Jaden.
Earlier today, Global Associated News generated a phony death story about J. Cole.
These unfunny rumors need to stop.
