To promote his new film, Casa De Mi Padre, Will Ferrell conducted his entire Tuesday night interview on Jimmy Kimmel’s show in Spanish.

As expected, it was hilarious.

Ferrell entered “on horseback” (accompanied by nearly naked cowboys), and launched into stilted, sometimes surreal talk show banter with Kimmel that was helpfully translated into English subtitles.

At one point, Casa De Mi Padre co-star Diego Luna, seated in the audience, gets into a heated exchange with Ferrell and pleads with him – in English – to stop pretending to be Mexican.

“Lo siento. No hablo ingles,” responds Ferrell.
