Whoopi Goldberg Defends Tiffany Trump On “The View” (VIDEO)
Whoopi Goldberg defended Tiffany Trump on Wednesday’s “The View,” after the First Daughter was allegedly bullied at New York Fashion Week. Check out the video below.
Trump was reportedly snubbed when she went to fashion shows this week, with no one wanting to sit next to her, ostensibly because of her father, President Donald Trump. To Goldberg, that was just unacceptable. And so she had an offer.
“You know what, Tiffany, I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m coming to sit with you,” she declared. “Because nobody’s talking politics. You’re looking at fashion! She doesn’t want to talk about her dad! She’s looking at the fashion!”
Sara Haines noted, “It’s almost like we live in a time where people are saying because it’s a Trump, it’s okay to bully her. Because bragging about this online, saying, ‘Look, she has no one to sit with her,’ that’s being a mean girl just for sport.” Jedediah Bila also pointed out, “No kid is immune. These parents get in and these kids are held accountable.”
And Goldberg went on to shut down those comparing Trump’s snub to people boycotting her sister Ivanka Trump’s line. “There is a difference. That’s all about buying stuff. You’re buying stuff. This girl is looking at fashion, and she’s just looking at fashion,” she argued.
Goldberg then looked directly into the camera to tell Trump, ” I don’t want to talk about your dad, but, girl, I will sit next to you. Because I’ve been there where people said, ‘We’re not going to sit next to you.’ I’ll find your ass and sit next to you!” Watch the exchange about Tiffany Trump below.
UPDATE: Tiffany Trump tweeted hours after the show aired, “Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg I’d love to sit with you too!”
