Whoopi Goldberg Tour Bus Goes Up In Fire, Comedian Uninjured

Whoopi Goldberg’s tour bus went up in fire on Saturday outside the Casino New Brunswick in Moncton, Canada, Gossip Cop confirms with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Fortunately, the comedian, who was performing onstage at the time, was nowhere near harm’s way at the time. Goldberg’s show, however, had to be cut short.
Gossip Cop is told audience members began smelling smoke and were instructed to evacuate. Immediately, hundreds of people in the crowd, who were at Goldberg’s one-night only show, headed for the exit in an orderly manner. We’re exclusively told by Royal Canadian Mounted Police that it began with an engine fire, and that “no one was inside the vehicle at the time.” The Casino New Brunswick did not sustain any damage, and the fire was extinguished rather quickly.
Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Goldberg for more details. The comedian and co-host of “The View” has made no mention so far of the incident on her Facebook or Twitter accounts. We will update as soon as more information emerges.
