Whitney Houston Coming Back to the Big Screen?

Whitney Houston may be coming back to the big screen.
The singer is in talks to star opposite “American Idol” alum Jordin Sparks in a remake of the 1976 musical drama Sparkle.
The film, inspired by The Supremes, tells the story of an aspiring group of female singers in Harlem during the early 1960s.
Sparks will make her movie debut, playing the title role, Sparkle Williams, and Houston is in negotiations to depict her mother.
Houston’s last major film role was The Preacher’s Wife in 1996.
She re-entered rehab for alcohol addiction in May.
