Whitney Houston Hits #1 on iTunes Hours After Death

Within hours of her death on Saturday, Whitney Houston once more topped the charts.

The late singer’s 2000 compilation album, The Greatest Hits, has overtaken Adele’s 21 to hit #1 on Apple’s iTunes album downloads list.

As of this writing, her Whitney Houston 1985 debut and The Bodyguard soundtrack have also cracked the Top 10.

Meanwhile, “I Will Always Love You” has reached #1 on the song download chart, and the music videos chart includes both “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “I Look To You.”

It’s estimated that during her life, Houston sold between 170 and 200 million albums and singles worldwide.
