Whitney Houston Hologram Given Family’s Blessing — SEE STATEMENT
Whitney Houston is being brought back to life via hologram with her family’s blessing, it was announced on Friday.
The Houston estate has partnered with Greek billionaire Alki David’s Hologram USA and FilmOn companies to create a stage show using the late superstar’s likeness. Similar to the holograms that have been used for Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur, Houston’s hologram will appear to sing and dance. The show will have a U.S. premiere before embarking on a world tour.
Organizers promise the concerts will “feature a selection of her greatest hits and will be interactive, incorporating audiences and special guests.” FilmOn is also expected to stream it online. A 2016 release date is being targeted.
In a statement Pat Houston, Houston’s sister-in-law and one of the executors of her estate, says, “It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come. I look forward to the partnership.”
Houston was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the eve of the Grammys in 2012. This past July, her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, died months after she, too, was found in a bathtub. Gossip Cop will have updates. TELL US: What do you think of the celebrity hologram trend?
