I dispise Bobby Brown for doing this to her..he is the one who got her on drugs and then beat and cheated on her repeatedly..she never got over it.

The only comfort that can come from any of this is that she has had such a tortured life in the more recent years and now she can be at peace. R.I.P Whitney

No use wasting hate on someone like that. She was an adult, with fame and fortune at that time, so it’s not like she was a child without a home who was turned out to drugs. Far as we all know, she made a decision to use with her eyes wide open. Sure, he may have exposed her to the environment, but she still made the decision to do it. I’m not defending him by the way, just telling how I see it. Hating on anyone is a wasteful venture anyhow, and only hurts the hater.

I agree with MyKinKStar No use in having hatred for someone. She was a grown woman who made that decision to use, I’m not defending him either just stating it as I see it. It’s sad that she was exposed to that lifestyle when she consciously married Bobby Brown, but no use in blaming someone for another’s drug use.
RIP Whitney, we lost another music legend.

Beautiful gospel song recorded by Whitney in 2009. She seemed so hopeful and her way back to sanity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Pze_mdbOK8

Terrible loss. Her voice is so delibable in the music world. When she sang a song, you knew it was Whitney. So many singers sound the same, but Whitney was one of the greatest voices of any generation. RIP Whitney, you will definitely be missed.

  • Sheelly

We should all count ourselves lucky to have experienced her immense talent. She was one of the best ever.

  • Chloe

OMG! This is too sad I can’t stop crying…

  • Insat

I don’t think so, she should have known for herself. At least she had many years of brilliant career, and most probably she had the best female voice ever in pop/soul/r’n'b. Still, she wasted herself in drugs and that’s a fact. Just being objective here, people, I have been a big fans of her, and it’s a shame her life ended like this. What is more shameful, however, is the hypocrisy and money-making (on her death) now, when she was forgotten and despised by so many for years. Let the circus begin (as always), huh? Disgusting.

I think it’s funny how some of those “stars” claim they “can’t breathe” or are “shocked to tears” or whatever, but apparently they all are able to tweet and make Whitney’s tragic and saddening death about themselves…

  • Elaine Stanidfer

Bobby Brown did not do this to her Whitney was on drugs long before she met him, but he important thing she was turning it around. We are all responsible for our selves RIP Whitney

This is sad but not shocking. It is not fair to blame Bobby Brown nor should she only be remembered for her troubled years. She gave the world a beautiful gift of sharing her voice. Now she can escape the demons that tortured her. Prays should be offered to her daughter, her ex husband, and the rest of her family. Tearing her apart or placing blame on others will not bring her back. Rest in peace Ms. Houston. I know you are in a place where you no longer have to live with the pain you endured here on earth. We’ll always love you.

Sad, truly sad she did this to herself. Basically she committed suicide in my book. A slower way to go and painful for all around. Drugged, recovering, drunk, recovering, drugged then final death. An awful roller coaster to ride for her and her family. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

  • Mistersherlock

Actually..she was doing drugs before she met him. He is not to blame for this. No one is. Death is a natural part of life. It is very sad, and now is not the time to blame anyone. Do you know how hurt his daughter must be to see people blaming the only person she has left. Smh.

This message goes out to those who are married or for those who plan to wed one day.
Men take care of your wife or girl friend, and do not put her in a situation that she is forced or pressured to do something that will destroy her life. On the contrary, take care of her as if she is more precious than life itself. This could have been prevented if Bobby Brown wouldn’t exposed Witney to drugs and alcohol. It’s a shame a beautiful person such as Whitney Houston with so much talent to have past away at such a young age.
