Wendy Williams Claim Taylor Swift Pushed Selena Gomez On Orlando Bloom Not True
The claim comes from, of all places, “The Wendy Williams Show,” which dedicated a portion of Thursday’s episode to the supposed cheating scandal involving Gomez, Bloom, and Katy Perry. The host said of Perry, “She did what a lot of women do, which is she got furious with Selena as opposed to her man.” That right there is not true, but made-up nonsense from HollywoodLife that Gossip Cop already busted.
Williams then said, “First of all, I don’t think Selena really wants Orlando, because in my mind, she’s already been there and done that.” That is also untrue. As Gossip Cop has already reported accurately multiple times, Gomez and Bloom have always been just friends.
But here’s where Williams really turned foul. She announced, “But Selena is best friends with Taylor Swift. And Taylor is low-key mean girl, doesn’t want to see anybody get anything.” Then, after pointing out that Swift and Perry have frenemy history, Williams declared, “Katy, you need to be looking at your man, and not Selena. Selena was sicced on him by Taylor Swift. Taylor is just a [bitch].”
Seriously? It’s one thing for a TV personality to offer commentary on a “hot topic.” It’s another thing entirely to state something as fact when you have absolutely no evidence to back your allegation. Swift has nothing to do with what’s going on between Gomez and Bloom.
And, well, there’s nothing even going on, except the close friendship they’ve had for years. Perry even took to Twitter on Thursday night to rip what she called “dumb conspiracy” theories, and Williams’ claim certainly falls into that category. And, by that way, the message was re-posted by Gomez. Perhaps Williams should report that.
