Wendy Williams: “Beyonce Sounds Like She Has a 5th Grade Education” (VIDEO)

Wendy Williams had some unkind words for Beyonce on the Wednesday episode of her talk show.

The comedienne began by praising the singer, saying she’s a big “fan,” and is definitely going to tune in to see Beyonce’s HBO documentary on February 16.

But the compliment soon segued into a diss.

Williams said, “I’m watching… because fortunately, one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning, so I’ll be able to understand what she says.”

The host added, “You know Beyonce can’t talk. She sounds like she has a fifth grade education.”

Whoa.

    Wendy is the one that sounds like an uneducated mut. Always talking about her wigs and going “who u doin” like an idiot. All she does is make money talking about celebrities who make more money and are not successful than her. Sorry but beyonce is all that and a bag of chips and has the talent to back it up. I saw the documentary and I’ve seen every interview she’s ever done. I have my degree and I’m yet to see any faults she made.

    Beyonce is from Texas. She has a southern drawl. Some people take that drawl as being slow or dumb, but many down here speak just like that and are University educated.

    WOW! It’s unfortunate but, Wendy is correct. Plus she’s not the only person that has spoke on this. Beyonce maybe laughing all the way to the back, but a bit of education never hurt anyone. She has people that she pays to handle her affairs, so not sure she’s a smart business woman. Beyonce has traveled to Africa and the word back from their was she wasn’t articulate and a bit uneducated.

    I was so disappointed when I saw Beyonce’s very first sit down interview. Throughout the segment, she looked like a deer caught in the headlights and half the time I knew she didn’t understand the questioning…..however! Wendy was out of line….and although I am fans of both women, Wendy being older and more experienced should have know better. And my advice to you Wendy is this: be very, very careful who you offend in the entertainment business. Beyonce is so well-connected and these comments make come back to haunt you. PLUS, it was mean! Beyonce is one heck of a performer, I’m sure her documentary will be worth watching, and I wish her well.

    That is very true… I am from Louisiana and I travel often for a business that I own and everywhere I travel I am told they can hear that I am from the South. I am highly educated with a master in finance and working on my doctorate in finance also. I never thought that Beyonce was “dumb” but now I will listening just a little harder.

    You’ve gotta be kidding. She writes, produces, directs, edits, performs, promotes, etc. to all of her work. The choreography is way more than a “two step here and there”, and she is the president of her entertainment group, The Parkwood Group. Are you a President of a company?     Actually Ash no she does not. She has been sued for pawning off songs
    written by others as her own. If you must know I owned my own company
    before I made the decision to be a full-time mom. It is a lot of work
    and for a multimillion dollar company it is one that requires much more
    than just a few workers. Many of which run the darn thing while she sits
    back and reaps the rewards.
