(The Wendy Williams Show)

Wendy Williams apologized to Kesha on Monday’s episode of her talk show for previously questioning the truthfulness of the singer’s allegation that Dr. Luke raped her. Watch the video below.

“Kesha, I want to (a) apologize to you, and (b) say you’re a hell of a woman,” Williams announced. Earlier this year, the daytime host was discussing on her show Kesha’s claim that music producer Dr. Luke sexually abused her, to which Williams said, “Well, there’s two sides to every story.” Williams further suggested that if Kesha was being truthful about the alleged sexual assaults, she should have been “rolling camera on it.”

During her apology on Monday’s show, Williams noted, “Unfortunately, a lot of people lie about rape, and so I was just being skeptical. That’s what I do.” She continued, “I wasn’t sure, but I’m also woman enough to say, ‘Damn, Kesha, I apologize.'” Williams once again described the singer as “a hell of a woman,” and added, “I don’t think a lot of women could rise to the occasion the way you did, Kesha. You keep going.”

As Gossip Cop has reported, Kesha is in the midst of a legal battle to be released from her contracts with Sony and Dr. Luke. In February, a New York judge rejected her request, but the singer has since appealed the decision. And in an Instagram post on Sunday, Kesha claimed Sony offered to free her from her contract, but only if she publicly apologizes and takes back the claim that Dr. Luke raped her.

Kesha noted she’s turning down the deal. “I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie… I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again,” she wrote on Instagram. Watch the video below of Williams apologizing to Kesha for doubting her rape claims.
