We McDonald “The Voice” Finale Video: Watch All Performances!
We McDonald gave one final push to win “The Voice” on Monday. Check out the videos below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, the 17-year-old has been one of the coaches’ favorites since her impressive Blind Audition. At the time, McDonald’s deep-throated singing voice stunned the panel, especially in comparison to her high-pitched speaking voice. Throughout the NBC competition, she’s covered songs classic and modern, all the while showing versatility with her tone.
Now for part one of the finale, McDonald was tasked with doing three more performances. In the first round, she and coach Alicia Keys jointly performed the Stevie Wonder version of “Ave Maria” as a duet. Together, they sat at pianos facing each other and sang in Latin, backed by a choir.
Like all the other finalists, McDonald also had to sing an original song. The track, called “Wishes,” will be her first official single should the teen be crowned the winner tomorrow night. The performance earned the contestant a standing ovation from the entire panel.
“I can’t even express how proud I am of We,” Keys said afterward, adding, “I’m so proud of America for seeing what I see in you.” For her third and final performance, which closed the live broadcast, the aspiring star covered one of Barbra Streisand’s signature songs, “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” After another ovation, Keys said, “To me, this song… gives everybody a chance to know that nothing can stop you.” Watch all the videos below!
