We McDonald “The Voice” Audition Video: Watch “Feeling Good” Performance!
We McDonald stunned with her voice and turned around all four chairs on the second episode of “The Voice” season 11 on Tuesday. Check out the video below!
The 17-year-old shocked the judges with her deep-voiced performance of “Feeling Good.” Miley Cyrus hit her button first, and then Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys turned around almost simultaneously. Adam Levine came in at the end, but the surprises were just beginning.
That’s because the coaches were even more taken aback when the teen revealed her speaking voice is actually rather high, almost cartoon-y. “That was not the voice I was expecting after that voice,” Cyrus admitted. She then noted that her decision to push her button “has nothing to do with anything else but what we hear. And from what I heard, you are a total star.”
Keys expressed, “I cannot believe this voice… I just feel so much inside of you, and that’s what we need in music.” Blake Shelton confessed that he turned around “out of a little bit of jealousy, because I was going ‘oh my gosh, how could she do that?'”
“You’re the kind of person we can learn from. I would do anything to be your coach,” he went on. Meanwhile, Levine noted, “That whole performance was so remarkable. But you’re 17, there’s stuff that you need to learn. I can teach you those things. I’ll throw you a party if you pick me.”
Well, McDonald chose Keys to be her coach. But depending on how the rest of the season goes, she may just get a party anyway. Watch below!
