Halo Awards 2014 – Watch LIVE STREAM!
The sixth annual Halo Awards are airing on Nickelodeon on Sunday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream here! The Halo Awards celebrate young people who have done amazing charity work for their communities. The Halo Awards are actually an acronym for “Helping And Leading Others.” In addition to recognizing kids who have made a difference, the awards show also features lots of great performances.
Hosted once again by the awards’ producer, Nick Cannon, among the artists set to perform are Nick Jonas, Jessie J, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, The Vamps, The Roots and Echosmith. And slated to hand out awards to Halo winners are Zendaya Coleman, Matt Bennett, Carlos PenaVega, and Sydney Park, to name a few.
Among this year’s Halo winners are Lulu Cerone, the founder of Lemonaid Warriors; Cassandra Lin, who created Project T.G.I.F.; and Nicholas Lowinger, founder of the Gotta Have A Sole Foundation, which gives shoes to homeless kids. Also winning awards and receiving scholarships for their charitable work are Yash Gupta from Sight Learning, which gives spare glasses to children who can’t afford them, and Alanna Wall, who came up with Polished Girlz, which provides manicures to young girls with special needs.
“We’re taking over New York City with the hottest music performers and the most awe-inspiring kids for one huge fun night at this year’s Nickelodeon HALO Awards,” said Cannon, adding, “The Halo Awards embodies the altruistic spirit of the holidays with its positive message and I can’t wait to celebrate the terrific work of these young heroes.”
The Halo Awards begin at 7 p.m. EST. Watch the live stream at Nick.com!
