T.J. Miller hosts the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream!
The 21st Critics’ Choice Awards will take place at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport. It will mark the first time the ceremony will include honors for both movies and television, instead of having two separate events. Miller himself is a Critics’ Choice TV winner, after taking home the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series last year for his work on “Silicon Valley.”
“Fargo” leads this year’s TV nominations with eight nods, while Mad Max: Fury Road is the most-nominated film with 13 nominations. On the movie side, winners are chosen by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), while the television winners are decided by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA). Fans have the option to vote in one category, the Most Bingeworthy Award, which actually includes “Friends” as a nominee.
The biggest award of the night will be Best Picture, which sparked some pre-show controversy when Star Wars: The Force Awakens was added to the list of contenders after nominations were already announced last month. Will it get the win, though? The Critics’ Choice Awards are slated to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern. NOTE: The live stream is no longer available.
