Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold danced a waltz to Boyz II Men’s “National Anthem” from the 1996 Olympic closing ceremonies on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars,” which was themed around each contestant’s “Most Memorable Year.” The routine earned the pair a standing ovation. Watch the video below.

Morris chose 1996 because it was the year Boyz II Men sang at the closing of the Atlanta Olympics, just days after a terrorist attack in the Olympic village. He said in a taped package that the group wanted to do something “to help,” and so they did a special version of the National Anthem for 60,000 in the Olympic stadium and nearly 1 billion people around the world.

Morris has been tied in the lead since the beginning of the season. After his very first dance, a cha cha cha to Boyz II Men’s “Motownphilly,” Len Goodman told the singer, “You could make it to the end of the road.” And during week two of the competition, after his and Arnold’s salsa, Carrie Ann Inaba declared Morris, “The king of the ballroom.” For that performance, they received a season high score of 24 out of 30 points.

On “Most Memorable Year” night, Len Goodman felt, “You got such lovely fluid movement,” adding, “Please keep it up.” Bruno Tonioli called it “grand, majestic.” He also noted it was a “stellar performance.” And Carrie Ann Inaba expressed, “You were the rockets red glare.”

So, how do Morris and Arnold do with their waltz to Boyz II Men’s redntion of the “National Anthem?” They received a score of 24 out of 30 points. Check out the video below of Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold’s routine on Monday’s “Most Memorable Year”-inspired episode of “Dancing With The Stars.”
