Waka Flocka Flame is hitting back at the criticism he’s received for his Caitlyn Jenner comments.

As Gossip Cop reported, the rapper appeared on Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, during which the topic of transgender people came up. Referring to Jenner as “Bruce,” Waka said the trans community was “rebuking God,” because “God didn’t put them feelings in you. That’s the devil playing tricks on your mind.” He further equated “marketing transgenders” to “marketing evil.”

Waka was largely slammed for his comments on social media. On Friday night, however, he suggested his remarks were being distorted. “Real people respect real sh*t not headlines,” he tweeted.

A few hours later, Waka wrote, “So now I’m #Homophobic because I don’t agree with #CatlinJenner Smh.” Many replied noting that perhaps the music star wasn’t was homophobic, but “transphobic trash” and “hella transphobic.” One person even argued, “If u out here sayin wild reckless sh*t u gotta be ready for ppl to hold u accountable for it.”

Others, however, came to the performer’s defense, such as the individual who replied, “They mad cause you speakin facts.” Another said to Waka, “That’s your opinion, and your right as a American to have your own thoughts. Fck the other noise.” TELL US: What do you think of the controversy?
