Vince Vaughn And Taylor Kitsch Were NOT “Enemies” On True Detective Set, Despite Report
Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch did not fight on the set of the “True Detective,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story, which appears in one of this week’s tabloids. We’re told all talk of them being “enemies” is completely false.
According to Star, Vaughn and Kitsch “locked horns off camera,” and it started right from the beginning. The tabloid claims that Kitsch was “excited to meet Vince,” but Vaughn was in a “serious mode and didn’t have time to be buddy-buddy” with Kitsch. The magazine further alleges that Kitsch nicknamed Vaughn “Old School” because of their 11-year age difference, but his co-star didn’t find it funny, and “it created a lot of tension throughout filming.”
Before Gossip Cop gets to the larger issue, Kitsch did NOT nickname Vaughn “Old School,” though the actor starred in a movie with the same name. Kitsch, however, did describe the second season of “True Detective” in an interview as having an “old school vibe.” It seems the tabloid took that quote and created a fake feud around it.
Of course, Star doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation when it comes to reporting about Kitsch. Gossip Cop once busted the magazine for laughably claiming he was dating Jessica Simpson, whom he had actually never met. In any case, Gossip Cop investigated this new story, and a rep for Vaughn exclusively tells us the tabloid’s claim about the two stars not getting along “couldn’t be further from the truth.”
