Vince Vaughn celebrated the Chicago Cubs’ World Series win on Thursday’s “GMA.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the Cubs won the World Series and beat the Cleveland Indians in the 10th inning in a game that started on Wednesday night and ended early Thursday morning. Vaughn, a huge Cubs and Chicago sports fan, appeared on “Good Morning America” just hours later. The actor was on the show to promote his new movie, Hacksaw Ridge, but couldn’t help but talk about his team’s historic victory.
Michael Strahan admitted he was surprised Vaughn made it to the morning show, and the star confessed, “I am, too. I was gonna go to the game, but I knew I had to be here early and I didn’t know if I was gonna get back in time. But I ended up staying up just as late anyway. But it was exciting. What an unbelievable game!”
Vaughn revealed he watched it with Hacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson. “It was unbelievable,” he said. “You couldn’t ask for a more dramatic game than that.” Strahan went on to surprise him with Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, a Cubs hat, and a customized jersey with his name.
As Gossip Cop reported, Vaughn sang “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” at Game Four last Saturday. The actor grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and has continued to own property in the city. Check out the “GMA” video below!
