Vile accusation about Jay Leno on Hulu is NOT TRUE

Regardless of what one thinks about the late night situation involving Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien, the war of words has gone too far in one particular instance, and oddly the website Gawker thinks some possibly defamatory — and completely untrue — statements are “enjoyable” and “funny!”
As Gawker pointed out, some users of the NBC-owned site, Hulu, have recently tagged videos of Leno’s monologues with words like “backstabber,” “horrible,” and “teamconan.”
OK, fine.
But not “enjoyable” or “funny,” as Gakwer deemed it, is a despicable tag on Leno’s Friday monologue that reads, “jay leno raped and killed a girl in 1990.” In addition to not being “funny,” it is also 100 percent NOT TRUE.
A rightfully upset NBC exec told Gossip Cop that the network is furious about this wholly “slanderous” statement — both on the video and repeated by Gawker — and may take legal action.
Again, while everyone is entitled to their opinion about the late night shuffle, Gossip Cop agrees with the NBC exec who said, “this is getting out of hand!”
