Verne Troyer Rushed To Hospital After Seizure
Verne Troyer was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after suffering a seizure.
The actor was at the Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco, Texas when the incident occurred during a meet and greet with fans. Witnesses tell TMZ Troyer appeared to have trouble breathing before the seizure struck. He was then taken to the hospital, though he has since been discharged.
A rep for the star tells Gossip Cop that Troyer was hospitalized “for precaution measures.” He underwent testing at the medical facility, and “everything came back normal,” says the rep. Troyer tweeted after the news broke, “Everything’s ok guys. Thanks for the concern.”
Troyer frequently participates in conventions, and seemed in good spirits earlier this week. “Happy st patty’s day from the world’s tallest leprechaun!” he amusingly tweeted on Tuesday. The diminutive star is well-known for his outsize personality. Last August, Troyer memorably donned a shark costume in honor of Shark Week, and two months prior, shared a picture of himself getting a rather thorough TSA search.
The actor suffers from cartilage-hair hypoplasia dwarfism, and is 2 feet, 8 inches tall. Troyer is perhaps best known for playing “Mini-Me” in the Austin Powers movies. He’s also competed on “The Surreal Life” and “Celebrity Big Brother.”
