Vanity Fair Official Oscars Portraits 2016
Of the thousands upon thousands of photos taken for the 2016 Oscars, none are more stunning than the official Vanity Fair portraits. Check out the photos, which the magazine and photographer Mark Seliger shared on Instagram, below.
For the third year in a row, Seliger teamed up with Vanity Fair to create a makeshift photo studio at the magazine’s exclusive, star-studded Academy Awards party. The studio itself consisted of little more than wood hammered together and some old-timey furniture. But the photographer’s snapshots are once again breathtaking.
Best Actress winner Brie Larson, now in a pink gown after changing out of the blue dress she wore for the ceremony, lounged on a couch with her Oscar sitting on a side table. Original Song nominee Lady Gaga was caught in motion as the cape-like portion of her after-party pantsuit blew in the air. And Academy Awards host Chris Rock even took a snapshot with Seliger himself.
Plenty of non-nominees, and even non-actors, stepped into the studio, too. Taylor Swift was accompanied by her brother Austin Swift, as well as Lorde. Justin Timberlake used the opportunity to cuddle up with wife Jessica Biel, while James Corden expressed some of the signature humor he’s become known for.
Among other stars who struck glamorous poses in the pop-up studio were Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba and Jon Hamm. See the photos from Instagram below!
